2 ½ months after the last race in Einsiedeln, Switzerland, the WORLD INLINE CUP continues. The next stop will take place on September 13 in Troyes, France, southeast of Paris. Organized by the Roller Sport Troyes, the race already has a bit of history. In 2026, the race will be part of the WIC—the longest-running and largest international inline marathon series—for the first time.
It seems that many of the world’s top athletes are looking forward to this new stage. In the men’s division, in addition to Bart Swings (BEL), Germain Deschamps (FRA), Felix Rijhnen (GER), and Ewen Fernandez (FRA) from the Powerslide Vesmaco World Team, we expect other top skaters such as Adrian Alonso (ESP), Manuel Taibo (ESP) and Carlos Tarazona (ESP)—all from the SheaStokes World Team— currently ranked 1st, 2nd, and 4th in the WIC rankings who, together with their teammate Martin Ferrié (FRA), aim to further extend their lead. But the French skaters Nolan Beddiaf and Matthis Rocher from the Manao FRSkates World Team, along with their teammates, will certainly play a role in the battle for the top spots at the finish line, as will Hugo Gerard (FRA) and Rafael Heredia Barba, both from the Rollerblade SPSPSK World Team. The Doubleff team is also represented by Brecht Lippens, who has consistently delivered solid performances in recent WIC races.
The women's field is similarly well-represented. Aura Quintana (ESP), Marine Lefeuvre and Marie Depuy (both FRA), as well as Alejandra Londono from the SheaStokes World Team, are currently in second place in the team rankings behind the Powerslide World Team, which features Lianne von Loon (NED), Maiwenn Julou (FRA), and the current individual leader, Keily Delgado (COL).
But Manon Fraboulet (FRA), Aubane Plouhinec (FRA), and Noraly Berber Vonk (NED) also have excellent chances of securing a top finish. In addition, Jet Fransen (NED) and Lyssa Vansteenkiste (BEL) from the Doubleff World Inline Team, as well as Rebecca Guard (FRA) and Maeva Reiss (FRA) from the Roller Sport Troyes World Team, as well as Dominika Gardi from Hungary, are also expected to be strong contenders. The SAM Racing Team from Ukraine will once again be represented by Anna Muzyka and Oleksandr Symonenko.
Following a half marathon and several children’s races, the marathon for women and men will start at 12:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the 4-km loop. At 6:30 p.m., all WIC athletes, coaches, and managers are invited to a closing dinner together at the Inline Village.
The next stop of the WORLD INLINE CUP after Troyes will be in Duluth (USA) on September 19th, followed by Berlin (GER) on September 26.
