Second stop of the 2017 WORLD INLINE CUP this Sunday in Rennes

After its launch last Sunday (14th) in Incheon, Korea, the 2017 WORLD INLINE CUP will move to Rennes in France for its second leg this Sunday, 21st May.

Elite skaters return to Brittany

After the successful 34th edition of "Rennes sur Roulettes" in 2016 with more than 2000 skaters, international elite skaters from eight countries will come back to the beautiful Breton city to compete for more points in the race for the WORLD INLINE CUP 2017.

The new optimized course, will take the skaters on 17 laps of 2,5 km each through the city, accompanied by the cheers of thousands of spectators along the track. This year, international female and male top skaters from countries like Mexico, Ukraine, Slovenia, Estonia, Czech Republic and Germany are among the starters Ewen Fernadez and Felix Rijhnen from the Powerslide Matter World Team, Mexican Mike Paez, Flavien Foucher and Guillaume de Mallevoue from the Rollerblade World Team are only some of this year’s favourites. In the women’s race, Maelann Leroux will try to repeat her victory from last year against athletes like Katharina Rumpus (Powerslide Matter World Team) from Germany or Juliette Pouydebat from France.

Calendar 2017

The next stop of the 2017 WORLD INLINE CUP, the world´s premier speed skating marathon, will be Dijon onthe 11th of June and Ostrava on the 17th of June. On the 15th of July, the WIC will make a stop in Harbin, China for the first time. The race for the Cup will see its final this year at the 44th BMW Berlin Marathon Inlineskating on 23th September.
