ONE WEEK TO GO TO THE WORLD INLINE CUP KICK-OFF IN L'AQUILA, ITALY

REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN UNTIL 18TH MAY 12.00 / NOON

 

L’Aquila/Berlin,16th May 2021. Preparations for the WIC kick-off race in L'Aquila, the capital of Abruzzo, are in the final phase. One more week until the starting signal for the first WIC Marathon in 2021 endowed with 5,000 EUR prize money is given. The street course with 14 three-kilometre-long laps will be a challenge for the athletes. Some skaters will have already measured their form at the track competitions the days before at the “INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA OPEN”.

Strong International starting field with proven and new teams

The International starting field is top-class. Former World and European champions as well as successful WORLD INLINE CUP athletes such as Bart Swings and Felix Rijhnen, (Powerslide Matter Racing Team), Nolan Beddiaf and Martin Ferrié (French National Team / EOSkates World Team), Tomas Bohumsky and Michael Prokop (Czech National Team), Doucelin Pédicone and Bastien Lhomme (Rollerblade World Team) are only some highlights. But also new teams like the AC Roller Team with skaters like Hugo Gerard and Louis Vincent are expanding the WORLD INLINE CUP starting field this season.

For women, athletes from the established WIC starting field like Sandrine Tas, Katharina Rumpus (Powerslide Matter Racing Team), Marine LeFeuvre and Manon Fraboulet (French National Team / EOSkates World Team), Anna Muzyka and Viktoria Kushnerova (Ukrainian National Team), KatharinaKainova and Lucie Korvasoval (Czech National Team) will be joined by the Italians Fredericia di Natale and Allessandra Susmeli (Team CPGA).

The high-class starting field shows how great the desire for international competitions and Inline Marathons is. We wish all athletes an exciting and fair competition and good health. The organisers of the WORLD INLINE CUP are continuing to work on the WIC season 2021 and 2022 as well”, said Volker Schlichting, Executive Director of the WORLD INLINE CUP.
