Berlin, 11th February 2022. L’Aquila (Italy), European City of Sport 2022 and host of a WIC Marathon, has now in coordination with the local authorities, CSEN (www.csen.it) sports promotion organisation, and local organizers been able to confirm a new date for the WORLD INLINE CUP event. The Marathon 2022 in L’Aquila will take place on the 3rd of July. “It is always difficult to find an optimal date in the international race calendar. We are very happy that L'Aquila as European City of Sports will also host a WORLD INLINE CUP in 2022. We wish the city of L'Aquila every success with their sporting events and look forward to being able to host a WORLD INLINE CUP in a place with so much sporting enthusiasm”, said Volker Schlichting, Executive Director WORLD INLINE CUP. Due to the continuing effects of the Covid pandemic, the organizers from Barranquilla, Colombia unfortunately had to decide against hosting a WORLD INLINE CUP this year. The organizers in Harbin, China continue to monitor the national situation based on the pandemic and hope to being able to host a WIC Marathon in 2022.
