Berlin, Harbin 12 May 2025 Due to challenges with the classification of an international inline marathon in Harbin, which lead to limited financial support from the local authorities, the organisation of a WORLD INLINE CUP is unfortunately not possible this year.
"We very much regret that we will not be having a WORLD INLINE CUP in Harbin this year. Despite the very strong and high-class field of athletes last year, it was not possible to register the event as a national top event in China this year. The resulting lack of support from the local authorities, both organisationally and financially, unfortunately makes it impossible to host a it this year. Both in terms of support for the international athletes and the quality and appeal of the marathon in Harbin for the Inline Skating sport, we could not guarantee the usual level this year. That is why, with a heavy heart, we have agreed with the local organiser not to hold a WIC in Harbin this year. However, we hope to being able to return to Harbin in the future with a top-class event like in previous years," says Petr Stastny, President of the WORLD INLINE CUP.
WIC calendar 2025
The stops of the WORLD INLINE CUP 2025 are: Funchal, Portugal (Madeira) on March 23, Rennes, France on May 25, Schaffhausen, Switzerland on June 9 (Class1), Berlin, Germany on September 20 (TopClass). On November 8, an Associated Race will take place in Sarasota, USA outside of the overall ranking.
