THIRD STOP OF THE WORLD INLINE CUP 2025 IN SCHAFFHAUSEN, SWITZERLAND UNDER OPTIMAL CONDITIONS

Bart Swings, BEL (Vesmaco, Powerslide) and Keily Delgado, COL (SPSPSK World Team) win the 2nd Stage of the WIC 2025

Schaffhausen, 9th June 2025 – The third stage of this year's WORLD INLINE CUP took place in Switzerland today. The scenic course is nestled in a beautiful landscape not far from the famous Rhine Falls. The high-class starting field proved once again after stages in Madeir (POR) und Rennes (FRA) that the WORLD INLINE CUP is with its five station in 2025 still the top international marathon series in inline sports. With an uphill and a downhill section, the field remained close together for both the men and the women on the four laps. In addition to Bart Swings (BEL), Felix Rijhnen (GER), Mike Paez (MEX) and Jasons Suttels (BEL), all from the Powerslide Vesmaco Team, the men's field also included Julio Mirena (PAR) and Manuel Taibo (ESP) from the SheaStokes Inline Speed Team as well as Nolan Bediaf (FRA), Manao FRSKATES World Team or Hugo Gerard (FRA) from ARMOS Team SILASPORT and the Swiss Severin Widmer from Team Rolling Rock, to name but a few.

In addition to the winner of the WIC Marathon in Rennes a fortnight ago, Lianne van Loon (BEL) from the Doubleff Team, Aura Quintana (ESP) and Marie Dupuy (FRA) from the SheaStokes Inline Speed Team were among the women's favourites, Gabriela Vargas (COL) from the arena Geisingen Ka-Li Skate Team, Larissa Gaiser (GER) from the Swings on Wings World Team,  and Noraly Berber Vonk (NEL) with her team mate Keily Delgado (COL) from the SPSPSK World Team and Anna Petuschnigg (AUS) from Swings on Wings World Team are also among the favourites in the very high-calibre starting field.

And so it was a very fast race, with the lead in the women's and men's groups alternating time and again.

In the end, both leading groups delivered a thrilling finish on the home straight. In the men's race, the Belgian Olympic champion Bart Swings came out on top with a fantastic time of 59:07.45. After a final referee's decision, Julio Mirena came 2nd and Manuel Taibo 3rd. Hugo Gerard finished in fourth place.

In the women's race, the Colombian Keily Delgado came out on top in a thrilling finish ahead of Aura Quintana and Anna Petuschnigg.
