THE FINAL OF THE WORLD INLINE CUP 2025 AT THE BMW BERLIN-MARATHON

Berlin, 19 September 2025 – On Saturday, 20 September, thousands of skaters from all over the world will once again come to Berlin to compete in the grand finale of the 2025 WIC season at the BMW Berlin Marathon.

This year's WORLD INLINE CUP featured exciting races in Funchal (Portugal) on 23 March, Rennes (France) on 25 May and Schaffhausen on 9 June. Now all eyes are on Berlin, where the world's largest road marathon

Due to the World Championships currently taking place in China, some of the skaters who are at the top of the current rankings will not be competing tomorrow. The current WIC leader, Belgian Bart Swings (Powerslide Vesmaco World Team), will also not be at the starting line of the BMW Berlin Marathon for the first time in years due to injury. This means that this year, it is completely open as to who will be standing on the podium at the skater party on Saturday evening and benefiting from the WIC total prize money of USD 8,000.

A lot can still happen in the team rankings in tomorrow's race. Both in the men's and women's competitions, the SheaStokes Team has a good chance of securing first place in the overall WIC rankings.

As last year, the inline marathon route will consist of five laps around the Victory Column and Ernst Reuter Platz before leading the skaters through the centre of Berlin and past the famous Brandenburg Gate to the finish line.
