NEW PREMIUM CLASS RACE CATEGORY WITH USD 15,000 PRIZE MONEY AND TRAVEL SUPPORT
Berlin, 11th January 2026 – The provisional WIC race calendar is now available. With traditional races in Funchal (POR), Rennes (FRA) and Berlin / tbc (GER), there are some exciting new races this year.
On 27 June, after 16 years, one of the most beautiful Inline Marathons returns to Einsiedeln on Lake Siehl in Switzerland, as a WIC marathon.
On 13 September, a second French Class1 marathon will take place in Troyes, a good hour south of Paris. Like the race in Rennes, this marathon is also part of the French Inline Marathon Cup and promises to be a professional race in an attractive region.
On 19 September, the famous Northshore Marathon in the US will be another new stop in this year's WORLD INLINE CUP series. As a PremiumClass race, this WIC Marathon offers a new attractive race category with USD 15,000 in prize money for all participants and limited travel support for WIC team members. In addition, up to 120 points can be earned for the WIC overall ranking in this race. Further negotiations are still ongoing with additional organisers, so the calendar may expand even further. The Berlin leg remains to be confirmed as the Organisers have not yet finalised their planning.
“We are delighted that with the fantastic Northshore Marathon we now also have an official WIC Race within the rankings with attractive prize money in the USA. Alongside the beautiful marathon in Einsiedeln and the attractive new race in Troyes, just 90 minutes from Paris, we have a great addition to our traditional races. We considered the international race calendar as far as possible to allow athletes to take part in as many competitions as possible throughout the season”, says Petr Stastny, President of the WORLD INLINE CUP.
