Harbin Ready To Stage Its Third WIC Race With Strong Starterfield And Top Teams

This Sunday (21st July), after two successful events held in 2017 and 2018, Harbin will welcome skaters from all around the world for a third time to its leg of the WORLD INLINE CUP 2019, the world´s premier speed skating marathon series.

After having seen elite skaters from many countries compete together with leisure skaters in Oropesa del Mar (Spain), Rennes and Dijon (France) followed by Ostrava (Czech Republic), inline speed skaters from around a dozen countries like Columbia, Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, New Zealand, India, Italy, Slovenia and Venezuela now head to the banks of the Songhua River in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province. Only one week after the World Roller Games in Barcelona, teams such as Powerslide Matter Racing, EOSkates, Castellon Spain Roller Marathon and Vitoria-Gasteiz International Team will battle for WIC points in this TOP CLASS race.

While competing for the 20k USD in prize money, male athletes like Nolan Beddiaf (EOSkates), Felix Rijhnen and Jason Suttels (Powerslide), Patxi Peula, (Vitoria-Gasteiz), Victor Torres and Andrea Bighin (Castellon Spain Roller Team) and female athletes like Katharina Rumpus, Sandrine Tas and Chloé Geoffroy (Powerslide), Aura Quintana Herrera (Vitoria-Gasteiz), Juliette Pouydebat and Maialen Onate (Castellon Spain Roller Team) will enjoy the hospitality of the organizers and the culture in the largest city of the north-eastern region of the People's Republic of China.

With the third WIC Marathon since 2017 Harbin has found its place in the international speedskating race calendar.
