Second Race of the WORLD INLINE CUP 2016 in Rennes - Live Stream

International skating field with participants from 13 nations in the heart of Brittany

On Sunday afternoon, the world’s top skaters from 13 nations will compete for points in the second race for the WORLD INLINE CUP 2016 - five nations more than in 2015.

The Powerslide Matter World Team with Bart Swings (BEL), the winner of the first WIC race almost a week ago in Incheon, Korea, Peter Michael (NZL) and Felix Rijhnen (GER) who achieved the triple in Incheon last weekend will battle for victory in the beautiful city of Rennes. Here they will meet the EOSkates World Team with local matadors such as Nolan Beddiaf, Ewen Fernandez and Guillaume de Mallevoue as well as successful skaters from the X-Tech Team such as Jakob Ulreich and Christian Kromoser from Austria supported by the French top skater Elton de Souza. Alexander Bastidas from Venezuela, skating for the Pure Athletes by Cuncu Boots Team, who was fourth in Incheon will also join this second race of the WIC. With more than 2,000 participants and 25,000 spectators to be expected, the 34th edition of “Rennes sur Roulettes” will be another highlight.

In the women’s race, Katharina Rumpus (GER) of the Powerslide Matter World Team, due to the injury of Mannon Kamminga, has to skate all alone against the Cadomotus Team with Lisa van der Geest and Sharon Hendriks (both NED) and Francesca and Giulia Lollobrigida (ITA) as well as further top skaters from four countries.

This year the race will take the skaters on 18 challenging laps of 2.3 km through the centre of the beautiful Breton capital city. In the new start area in Rue d’Isly and along the track again thousands of spectators will follow the athletes compete for WIC points.
