Top skaters from 16 countries and four continents to compete
After exciting races in Incheon, Rennes, and Dijon the next chapter of the 2016 WORLD INLINE CUP competition is about to be opened. The fourth race over a distance of 33,5 kilometres will be held in Ostrava and is the 12th edition of the WIC in the Czech city.
Many elite skaters registered
Several World, Continental and national champions are among the skaters from South America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Last year’s winner Peter Michael (Powerslide Matter Team) from New Zealand is ready to defend his title with help from his teammate, Germany’s Felix Rijhnen. The task will not be easy as the line-up is quite impressive and skaters from, Austria, Argentina, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Mexico, India, Portugal, Slovenia are determined to win too.
Inline weekend for top skaters, leisure skaters and families in the Sport City Ostrava
Aside from professional competition, open races, and children’s races will be held making the event universal, and for all ages. The Czech National team, along with entered athletes will be making an appearance on the eve of the elite race, making Ostrava the ultimate WIC experience.
WIC 2016
The next and final stage of the WORLD INLINE CUP will take the international skating elite to Berlin. The WIC Season 2016 will culminate in the combined finals of the WIC and GERMAN INLINE CUP GIC on Saturday 24th September in the German Capital.
