Berlin (GER) - 2020 EDITION CANCELLED - Top Class

Organised by SCC EVENTS, the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON Inline Skating marks the grand finale of the season. At the last weekend in September, more than 5,000 professional and leisure skaters capture the German capital and enjoy 42.195 car-free kilometers right through the city. 250,000 spectators along the course and packed grandstands behind the Brandenburg Gate promise a race filled with excitement. As the finale stage of the WORLD and GERMAN INLINE CUP, the world’s largest and fastest inline skating marathon welcomes participants from more than 60 countries who turn the weekend into an international festival on wheels. The BMW BERLIN-MARATHON is more than a race – and that can be noticed at every corner.

CURRENT SITUATION OF THE WORLD INLINE CUP SEASON 2020

Due to the fact that the BMW Berlin Marathon 2020, being the traditional Final Race of the WORLD INLINE CUP cannot take place on 26th September as planned and the organisers in Dijon had to finally cancel this year's Marathon due to the corona pandemic, the organiser of the WIC is in continuous contact with the individual race organisers. The aim is to deliver a season later in the year.

New dates for postponed WIC events will be announced as soon as the extraordinary global situation makes a reliable plan possible.
The interests of athletes and fans are our foremost considerations, as we continue to work intensively with all stakeholders (athletes, team managers, organisers, local authorities and federations) to develop a new calendar for a 2020 WORLD INLINE CUP season.
